Domina, dominatrix, pro-domme
Domina is Latin for the mistress of a household; German borrowed it for a woman who dominates by profession. The English equivalent is dominatrix, often shortened to domme, and pro-domme makes clear that sessions are booked and paid for rather than part of a private relationship. So if you are wondering what domina means in English, the honest answer is unspectacular: a professional dominatrix.
A few related words travel with it:
- Herrin – the feminine of Herr, lord: a female master. In English I am addressed as Mistress.
- Dominus – the male counterpart. With me that is Alexander Blake, who joins duo sessions; see mistress and dominus.
- Femdom – female dominance as a whole: the woman leads.
- Sklave – slave: the submissive role a guest takes on for the session, by choice and between adults.
- Bizarr – the umbrella word on German listings for BDSM and fetish, as in Bizarrstudio.
- Studio – a rented, equipped space. My sessions take place at Studio 60 in Munich.
What the work involves – and what it does not
A dominatrix structures a power exchange. Before the session we hold the Vorgespräch, the conversation about wishes, experience, health and limits. Then I lead and the guest follows. I decide content and intensity inside what we agreed, and the Safeword – German uses the English word, sometimes alongside Codewort – stops any action immediately. What a first visit looks like from beginning to end is described in your first session.
What the work does not involve is just as clear. No intercourse, no oral sex. A session with me is about control, ritual, sensation and the mind, and anyone expecting a different kind of service has misread the word. I receive guests in person only at Studio 60 in Munich; everyone else meets me by video.
Body and pain
Most German practice names translate easily once you know them. Each entry says whether it is included in my hourly rate, carries a surcharge or needs a minimum duration.
- Flagellation, Rohrstock (cane), Peitsche (whip) – impact play from cane to whip; included. Rohrstockerziehung means discipline with the cane.
- CBT – the abbreviation is English and stays English in German: pain and pressure play on the male genitals; included.
- Brustwarzenbehandlung – nipple play; included.
- Wachs – wax play, warm wax dripped on the skin; included.
- Trampling – being stood or walked on; included.
- Reizstrom – electro-stimulation (e-stim), carefully dosed; included.
- Klinik or Klinikerotik – medical play: role play between adults in a clinical setting. An Einlauf (enema) costs €150 extra, an Analbehandlung (anal treatment) or Analdehnung (anal dilation) €100 extra each. More on medical play.
Restraint and control
- Fixierung – restraint; included. Restriktive Fixierung is the stricter form, with rope and straps; also included.
- Bondage – used in German exactly as in English; included.
- Mumifizierung – mummification, wrapping the body like a cocoon; from 90 minutes.
- Keuschhaltung – chastity; Germans also say Keyholding. Combined with Inhaftierung, confinement, it needs at least 120 minutes in the studio, and online it continues through video sessions. See chastity keyholder.
- T&D – tease and denial: desire built and withheld within one session; included.
- Erziehung – everyday German for education or training. On a domina's page it means the training and discipline of an adult submissive, as in Sklavenerziehung.
- Militär-Drill – military-style drill, posture and orders; from 120 minutes.
Roles, mind and words
- Rollenspiele – role play, always between adults; included. Entführungsspiele, staged abduction scenarios agreed in advance, need at least 180 minutes.
- Demütigung – humiliation; Verbalerotik – verbal dominance, with words as the instrument. Both included.
- Verhör – interrogation; included. Psychofolter – intense psychological pressure as a staged game; from 120 minutes.
- Feminisierung – feminisation, in English usually sissy training; from 90 minutes. DWT on listings stands for Damenwäscheträger, a man who wears lingerie; with me, the topic sits under feminisation. More on sissy training.
- Petplay – pet play: role play between adults built on obedience, posture and commands rather than conversation; included.
- Maskentraining – mask training; Gummi and Latex – rubber and latex; all included. Heavy Rubber, full enclosure in rubber, needs at least 120 minutes.
Abbreviations on German listings
German listings compress a great deal into a few letters. The ones you will meet on my pages and in my messages:
- NS – Natursekt, golden shower; with me it carries a €300 surcharge.
- CBT, T&D – see above; both included.
- GV – Geschlechtsverkehr, intercourse. OV – Oralverkehr, oral sex. Neither is offered, without exception.
- SM, BDSM – the same as in English.
- inkl. – included in the hourly rate. Aufpreis – surcharge. ab 90 Min. – bookable from 90 minutes.
- zzgl. Raummiete – plus room fee: the studio room, which you book and pay directly with Studio 60.
- Anzahlung – deposit; with me €50, credited against the fee.
- Std. – Stunde, hour.
Listings elsewhere use further abbreviations for things that are not part of my sessions. If a term is missing here and from my German directory of practices from A to Z, assume I do not offer it – and ask before you assume otherwise.
What I do not offer
My taboo list is short and it does not move: intercourse, oral sex, wrestling, smoking fetish, needles and catheters. In German you will see them as GV, OV, Ringkämpfe, Rauchfetisch, Nadeln and Katheter. No surcharge unlocks any of them. The reasons, and how limits, safewords and stopping work in practice, are set out under limits and safety.
Two further boundaries belong here because German listings can blur them. I meet guests in person at Studio 60 in Munich and nowhere else, and I work with adults only – role play included. For everything I do offer, with prices and the way to book, start at Domina Munich.
